Kayaks and Killer Whales

Killer Whales are actually the largest member of the dolphin family.  Any way you cut it, when you spot them for the first time from the cockpit of a sea kayak, your heart changes paces and the imagination races.

We departed Telegraph Cove on July 21st for five days of incredible encounters with sea life.  The nutrient rich ocean abounds with a variety of sea life but Orca are the primary attraction.

In addition to frequent Orca sightings, we saw pods of dolphins and porpoises; a Harbour seal with its pup; salmon leaping everywhere; eagles, and more.
